I am having a large amount of success with this dnite metagross team so I wanted to share it incase anybody was interested in it or had any suggestions.
Safegaurd, roar and surf are all def not used that much but I like having options but I don't like theire alternatives as much.
The stats are also prob not optimal but they are calced, I am split between speed boosting whims and special attack boosting whims cuz I like the increased damage output but the speed is pretty important
THIS IS NOT A TEAM THAT NEEDS MUCH WORK changing it, I have made a small alteration in making metagross a bit more defensively bulky to ohko most kingambits, but thats abt it
Do not ping '@teambuilders' I don't rly need the help, just posting this if people are interested in it

The energy ball think is cuz of swampert, you can prob use psychic noise or thunderbolt in its place tbh, but I like thhe extra insurence
Love the araquanid! Why do you have surf on it? And how often do you find making use of wide guard?
I use wide gaurd decently often but obv mostly spam liquidation
Ive been eyeing it too and wasnt sure whether i should try a mostly supportive function or like yours
I put surf on it cuz there just aren't many better moves for it to use rn. Leech life is the usual best option but there are no popular pokemon who both resist water and are weak to bug rn. Since both whims and sinistcha are nuetral to bug
And with mystic water, araquanid will still hit harder with the liquidation anyway so I put surf as a semi incin counter with the possibility to be used against pokemon who Ik will die to it without ignoring the other and while ignoring redirection
That does make sense
If the rilla comes back I might switch tho
I saw it gets access to power split and something in me wants to use that for some stupid shenanigans
Why colbur vs sitrus on farig?
Personal choice, just like sitrus incin more
Solid team 💯
This one
Oh shoot this is supposed to say hyper-balance not hyper-offence
I am stupid asf

Its changed to this now
The addition of ninetales annoys tf out of me and my morals but its overall prob better
A also don’t like Ninetails much but lately I’ve noticed a couple really put in the work. Them ones I noticed didn’t run veil
It’s like they figured controlling weather and hitting with ice and fairy was enough
I used moonblast for a bit but then rlised that steel and fire resist both and water is weak to freeze dry so the only type it hits that blizzard doesn't is ice
Has been nice tho, my team can easily sustain in opposing weathers so its rly easy to win the weather war by just waiting longer
Freeze dry is so cool but so is moon blast
Seems it’s best quality is setting weather not setting veil , well atm anyway haha
Ninetails and its speed can stat Change a lot depending on meta
It’s icy wind was the best in reg f I think
Because of its speed
I find that I am actually outspeeding a lot of teams which is a first for me
The metagame has kinda bulkified with the increased viability of water, the insanely defensive yards and staraptor from the new kids
Could be really smart because some people won or come close by putting icy wind on their chein paos and the rest was attacking moves
The others were just using Ninetails
I had the idea weavile could do this weird speed control physical attacking Mon like they ran chein pao but it feels so so bad
And no weather, my entire point lol Ninetails would be better suited for this crazy weather meta
I swear it’s useage is going up
Ye its like antiweather weather
It doesn't rly affect much but it removes other weathers
Yeah sorta like cloud nine tbh haha
was wondering if there was a way I could shift the roles so that I wouldn't have 4 rock weaknesses. Its def managable but not ideal
Or at the very least get another resist
what's the least used mon on the team
Sinistcha by far
Although thats not saying much cuz there are like a 1000 sun teams rn
sinischa isn't really a rock weak mon though huh
Ye ik
Araquanid and incin are kinda difficult to replace and dnite is the star of the team so prob not any of them
Ninetales can be replaced with something ig
i feel like pelipper would just be more useful though no?
it also has wide guard, muddy water doesn't hit allies, weather wall, and rain is benificial for both metagross and dnite
Ye ik, but I just don't like rain
maybe grim then? double screens isn't as good as aurora veil but you can't shut it down by changing the weather
I mainly put ninetales cuz freeze dry anyway
for what? basc?
Swampert and peli
ouh
then what about rotom mow
If I want an eq mon I choose mamoswine cuz dual ice quad weakness is just a little crazy
You can put on a yachi berry to survive ice punch comfortably
ohko swamp with leaf storm
hit peli with thunderbolt
volt switch
will o wisp
electro web for speed control
I actually used rotom mow for a bit with scarf
It felt a bit gimmicky tho
Like any rain teams would rlise what I was trying and switch to use arch in the front alongside grimmsnarl
I would say that I am ig a bit willing to swap araquanid cuz it feels like its usually insane damage output doesn't matter given that people just reduce it bfore it gets going
I usually use dnite for rain
Metagross is for more nieche teams and anything involving snow or sand
Does it have any useful supportive moves or any priority attacks?
Isn't it a physical attacker?
Another person in a different server said I could replace araquanid with palafin
I don't like milotic and more importantly its a special attacker when I have 3 alr which isn't something that I rly like
what about aquabreed touros
I considered it, I've used it bfore in ma and in a draft and its rly rly nice
But would double fairy weaknesses and intimidate be fine?
You have Metagross for fairy
True
The intimidate thing is good in most formats but with milotic, kingambit and le bird I am a bit worried abt using it and incin
Tis doesn't feel bad actually

Having 4 mons that do something on switching in or switching out is rly rly cool
Losing wide gaurd hurts me but is fine
Quite different from where you started
Ye
Hard tr is a bit more difficult but its def dealable since I can live through the tr turns
And if its too much of an issue I can switch back to taunt incin
So you havent played this one too much?
I played 3 matches, my opponent was afk twice
I have played like 7 matches now and have not gotten to use palafin yet
Since I just end up winning bfore that
So maybe thats an issue aint sure
Interesting pair
How are you planning to kill archaludon
Sinistcha
Oh curse
That's
Uh
Desperation tech
😭
Well it works
And is kinda funny
I play bo1 usually so it works fine, prob would have issues in bo3
