Havent had the time to do the EVs, i apologize
Hey there teambuilders, i want to see if my team has any room for improvements. I will now do a brief explanation of the team.
Zardy + Floette has proven themselves to be a pretty good duo. So my first pokemon will be
FLOETTE
no calm mind set
MEGA SALAMENCE
Mega salamence over zardy cause why not? Dnite worked and i think mence will too
RILLABOOM
Incineroar would have been here if Rillaboom didnt exist. But it does now. Grassy terrain + grassy glide is a pretty good combo, stab wood hammer for important ohkos and high hp for coverage. Obviously i need fake out support as well. Also serves as a terrain overrider against the psyspammers. Handles water type pokemon and sand teams really well.
I planned to give it an assault vest but since it wasnt added, i just went with my guts and gave it miracle seed
SNEASLER
Max speed max atk set with sash to maximize the most offense. Also serves as a fairy killer and a secondary fake out support. Close combat is also good coverage and handles kingambit.
BASCULEGION
I needed a way to deal with fire types and a revenge killer, so here we are. Basculegion’s also just good in general and theres no harm in having a water pokemon. Sure, rillaboom destroys it but salamence and sneasler handles that. Basculegion’s also good against sand teams, in case rillaboom isnt there.
I originally ran a sitrus set but someone recommended me life orb instead, so here we are. Also considering choice scarf. I dont even know which set to use if im being honest.
FARIGIRAF
Serves alot of roles:
- Prevents kingambit sucker punch which my team would hate
- Prevents all priority moves in general which is a nice bonus
- Stops trick room teams with imprison + trick room
- Sets up trick room if the opposing team is faster
- Expanding force over psychic so my farigiraf becomes strong against psyspam teams, and also expanding force + imprison allows me to shut down psyspam
- Thunderbolt for coverage. I am considering Hyper Voice over Thunderbolt, but i dont know. I chose Thunderbolt because my team cant really get rid of Pelipper fast.
I am trying to make an actually good team, and im not a very good team builder. Do let me know if theres any room for improvements.
(Also, give me the EV spreads if possible 👁️👄👁️)
edit:
i changed tbolt on farig to protect. less coverage but i can imprison protect. Not sure if i should do this
also considering bulky sneasler unburden + grassy seed. not sure if that or max offense sash is better
I like this team a lot actually. Excellent work on this.
A few notes I will jot down, give me a minute

Rillaboom not having protect seems fine here. Use pivots to protect. I haven't had a chance to take a look to make sure it wasn't nerfed off him, but with your other coverage you may want to be running u-turn over high horsepower. It is very helpful to have that pivot.
-
If I'm not mistaken, I believe you're running this farig to counter trick room and stop fake out. Love the concept, feels great. Not sure how much you'll need t-bolt here, it may be more beneficial to run protect. Imprison with protect is another option to utilize even if trick room isn't a factor in the match. It also gives a bit more leeway for you to adjust the boardstate.

Without a psychic terrain setter, expanding force may feel awkward. I get the reasoning being to counter psyspam however nothing that will be taking that expanding force will really be worried about getting hit by it. Maybe keep t-bolt and drop expanding force
Overall I feel you did an excellent job with this team and I am happy to see the progress you are making in your teambuilding ability. The team is synergistic and flows very well. Good job
Thanks alot!! I greatly appreciate it
Yes it still has u turn. I was running high horsepower for coverage, but ill change it to u turn now
Yeah number 2 i did aready
Changed tbolt for protect
High horsepower is a great move, but you have plenty of coverage and resistance to fire and steel so I wouldn't worry about using it here
True
If you were a bit squishier to those or if they were just all over the format I would rethink it but you should be good without it
Thanks alot for the feedback!
I appreciate it
You're welcome good luck with M-C
u too!

Yello
could ya help me with the team if u can
So what's the problem for the team
I can try as always
uhm
i dont know lol
😭
in theory it should cover all match ups
Did you try it on the showdown
yeah
only 1 match tho
💔
Try it out more
alr
I can see that some of them have specific evs investment
Could you explain the benchmarks
yep
uh
wait lemme see
Also why x scizor on exca?
im not sure. i used gorey's team as a base
and changed a shit ton of stuff lol
but he ran x scissor exca with lorb
i think its calced to ohko indeedee or sth
and farig
i think
Oh that's reasonable actually
Also you running eq with grassy terrain
Counter intuitive
10 hp 32 atk 24 speed
adamant
You weaken your own attack
oh fuck i forgto
😭
i forgot
shi
then i think i should change rillaboom
whats the point of levitate when ur running high horsepower
chompz ability becomes useless
High Horsepower is right there
just give garchomp literally anything else except for negative abilities
god
I don't think you need that much spread as you have so many strong mines that can pick off everything
i rlly liked the idea of eq next to levitate tho
sigh
ig ur right
im tempted to change rillaboom for sth else tho
Like what
incin perhaps
I'd like to hear
half the team weak to grass
intimidate is also pretty nice
hmm
what do u suggest
Haze is for raptor?
Or make it rain spam?
that
and golisopod sd
oh yeah golisopod gives me trouble
flamethrower garchomp doesnt ohko it i think
even if it does
its usally paired with rain
which means now it defenitely doesnt
Does Incin do the same job as Rilla and would it do enough to be used?
If you think that Goli is such a bad matchup yea add Incin it OHKOs in rain even
rilla is nice to clear off terrains and is good for milo
id say incin is similar but still different enough
i dont think so
lemme do calcs
It does
I felt it
it doesnt
32+ Atk Incineroar Flare Blitz vs. 16 HP / 0 Def Golisopod-Mega in Rain: 124-148 (74.6 - 89.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO - (24 - 28.7% recoil damage)
What did you calc
Hmmm
Had so many times it Ohkod
and then it heals with leech life
augh
And Im running bulky goli
what fr?
were u in rain
Ye
Idk whats happening but ok
Its fine
let me remove all hp
If it doesnt its great
lmao
32+ Atk Incineroar Flare Blitz vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Golisopod-Mega in Rain: 124-148 (82.6 - 98.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO - (24 - 28.7% recoil damage)
😭
Yup just saw
Its fine
You still win that matchup
not necessarily
if golis has sd it will bite off a big chunk of incin's hp
and restore some noticable health
But you would attack it with something before
this is max atk incin btw so it doesnt even have the bulk
How much does zchomp do
let me calc
worse than incin i bet
no stab 90 bp
doesnt ohko
im running timid flamethrower
modest fire blast doesnt even ohko
can u battle me on sd with a golis team
⚔️|find_battles
Yea sure Ill use my other team
Global Challenge Team
Hey guys global challenge is starting and i dont have a team, and i have not a single clue of where to start. My current ladder team which some people said are good is just kind of lacking now for some reason (maybe im just bad). It was doing great but then i found myself clawing my way through battles with a lose rate > win rate.
If you have any suggestions on what team i should use, do tell. I was thinking of the Yaichu Raptor HArc Ghold team or cybertron’s metagross + chompz team, but im not sure.
