Reasons - you can absolutely live without it.
- it uses too much water.
- data centers does nothing but harm the environment.
- ai pictures can't be called ART or used in any form to imitate art.
- no one wants to see your chatgpt generated pic with prompts.
I agree for specifically Gen AI, it's a bunch of slop and some people actually think they can replace human made art with it💀
Generative AI does nothing to help with human advancements, that's different and is the image stuff

Nah I remember some background cutting tool from years ago on an app similar to Photoshop, it was pretty quick and was around before AI I just forgot the name

'helps' actual people in those jobs can do so much better, clothes designers do fashion and that's related to art
AI would spit out an average look, fashion designers have more imagination involved if they just use their brains
Also there's a lot of inspo already online if they genuinely struggle with creating clothing stuff

AI that's properly used for scientific progress: a good advancement.

It doesn't help them improve, it just stops them from actually thinking of better more original designs when they could literally look for ideas online

There's this thing called learning to draw, also that part can be fun
AI used in laziness is bad.
AI used for things that would take extra resources and now unnecessary pathways is a gray area.
It's really a tradeoff.
