Pokémon VGC Team Building: Optimizing Archaludon Strategies
here’s the team
here’s the team
Any mega floette team with two megas😁
I am building a TR sun team, I have 5 Pokemon so far:
https://pokepast.es/013e226f79236b4f
I'm looking for a 6th member of the team that is my 2nd mega that can deal with Mega Charizard Y, Mega Swampert, and Kingambit, as those are the threats I am worried about. If possible, benefits from sun as well. Any thoughts on stats and movesets would be appreciated as well!
I almost never bringing Gholdengo and Sinistcha in matches, and i'm really thinking if i should switch one of them, also i have been struggling A LOT against Trick Room teams. so, i would like to know what i could do with them or the other members of the team
Clarifications:
Not max HP on Grimmsnarl and sinistcha: i've did that so then their HP would be divisble by 4 so then i can get max recover from Hospilaty/Life Dew and use the rest in more defense.
1 HP Pelipper: same reason as GRimmsnarl and Sinistcha, max Hospilaty/Life Dew recovery and then use the rest in defense.
12 Speed Gholdengo: Outspeed most mons in tailwind.
If there is anything you think is odd and i did't talked here, let me know!

Have been trying to build around mega mawile but does not feel the best. Liked a team having both trick room and tailwind options and for the other mega option thought maybe tyranitar could work. Team feels somewhat weak like intimidates, screens, fake outs etc. Thought farigaraf would fit well but unsure where it would go. Help would be appreciated 🙏

It works pretty well but I'm struggling with my other 3 slots constantly trying new things. I lose to the bridge most of the time but the team works well for me. I do need to change TTars EV's to something else though.
1.tailwind setter. Since ttar gets my sash I lose whims alot first turn, and that's my main swampert counter against the rain teams. Pelliper was working good for me with wide guard but bringing 2 weathers is dumb, I was really enjoying talonflame but it makes me lose to rain even faster.
Strong water type is very useful in this team when I can't bring garchomp. No one feels like it fights just right though, ghost fish was working ok, have been considering gyrados for intimidate but idk just like using things I can safely earthquake next too.
Backup mega. Nothing feels like it works good except last resort Kang, which still gets walled by the bridge. Using zard cause I'm not smart enough to think of a better rain counter, hate being insta killed by rocks tho. Mega floette seemed like a good choice when I can't bring Metagross but I still lose anyway.
Tldr. Help me fight rain and keep my 3 pseudo legendaries.
i want to learn the fundamentals & basics of comp pokémon, i don't know how everything works pretty much, i did try building a team with froslass but i think it lacks something. i also need advices for the mons that i have on my box.
Guess who's back
it's me (I like team building) this time with a sceptile team that I'll run yall through
SCEPTILE AND ROTOM
So to start we've got the standard sceptile duo with Mega Sceptile and Rotom (heat this time but I'm open to suggestions to change). I started building with Sceptile because I'm tired of swampert rain teams, and discharge + earth power OHKO's bulky archaludons as well. The First problem I ran into is simple: swift swim swampert out speeds the fastest sceptile in the rain, which is a problem since the average swampert runs Ice Punch as a coverage move
ALTARIA
I was struggling with the swift swim issue and came up with a few hairbrained solutions. my first idea was adding torkoal and a TR mode but I didn't like the way it was shaping the team, the second was replacing thunderbolt on rotom with sunny day, but that felt stupid af since it would force me to hard pivot off rip. and then I remembered Cloud Nine exists, and that's why altaria is here. I've made it bulky and gave it perish song + roost for late game finishes, since I don't intend to use it for damage, it's there just to shut down weather
AERO
the dino is here just for tailwind and wide guard support honestly, I feel like the speed control is needed for the team's second mode. also funny rock slide flinch.
TAUROS
The Bull! Okay this might take some explaining, But I really love the paldean tauros forms in this format, specifically aqua breed. I wanted intimidate but didn't want to add incin since I really didn't want more rock weaknesses. But Tauros fucking rules; water/fighting is good typing, it's got intimidate as well, a signature move that breaks screens, access to aqua jet for priority and mental herb allows it to keep it's good physical bulk even after a close combat, it's here as a late game sweeper and Intimidate pivot mon
METAGROSS
while building I noticed the team has a lot of weaknesses to rock, ice, and fairy. so... yeah Steel Type 👍 Jokes aside Mega-gross is a good addition to any team really as long as you give it the right supporting tools, and I believe tauros and aero provide those tools rather well. originally the team had altaria as it's mega, but that didnt' help with any weaknesses really (except turning rock to neutral) plus mega evolving removes Cloud Nine which is like the whole point of having altaria. so with the need for a steel type, metagross just made sense to have as the secondary mega imo
THE GLARING WEAKNESS
the team really doesn't like Yard. sceptile isn't weak to fire, but that doesn't mean it wants to take Yard weather ball. the current Yard gameplan is just lead aero and rotom and try to obliterate it before it can move

anything I should change? any concerns or feedback? LMK
I saw an ABSURD GCF team, and wanted to use 3 of the mons on the team. What mons would you add to a core of these 3?
https://pokepast.es/7afde5de7d848964
So, im the type of player who tries to make underrated pokémon somehow work, i did it with Mega Chandelure and now i wanted to try it with Mega Victreebel.
I created that team on a whim and played a few rounds with it.
A key problem i noticed is that my offensive pokémon are too frail to keep living loong enough.
Since my games language is in german, ill translate the whole movepool in my second message.
The core idea of that team is to let Mega Victreebel a debuff pokémon for the enemy team,
the team is designated to be played in Doubles Ranked
I am not sure if I need to change anything but pls lmk what I need to fix in this team
This team is meant to support mega crabominable anger point. Crab as the ace. raichu as a second ace if needed or opposing team seems to be too much for the big boy (the crab). if anyone has any changes they would make or just any advice in general it would be greatly appreicated!
This is a team i built myself. Please let me know if i should adjust anything or replace anything. The team might be bad cause im new… im also aware the stat spreads are not good, i didnt pay much attention to it and it kind of confuses me.
Also, i later changed Corv’s stat from max atk to max def, and dragonite’s max sp atk to max atk.
I’m currently running around MB 1.6-1.7 with a pretty standard Blastoise and Delphox Team, I felt like Kingambit was on the field almost never so I switched it for scarf meowscarada, to better answer some Threats to the Team. (Scarf) Basculegion and Garchomp especially but it also helps against Rainteams with tech against Blastoise and to a lesser extent to Oberwhelm some Giraffes before they can Set Up trickrooms. However the original team was in High Champion for a reason and I’m a bit cautious, if I overcooked simply because I don’t understand how to play around the threats and/or don’t know how to use Kingambit yet. Any input is highly appreciated.
I need a team to get to master ball
I have been going relatively aimless for a hybrid sand-trick room team, and I definitely need a sense of direction. I have since replaced Dragon Dance on Tyranitar and considered replacing Primarina with Milotic. I just feel like the team doesn’t feel complete, plus I feel like I’m playing horribly. Any and all advice is appreciated and welcome!
I love how much of a nuke lucario is, and this is a team I built around it. What do you think?
https://pokepast.es/7bb3a492a20ef79c
I have started to realise that I am kinda overly reliant on middling speed pokemon and don't rly use that many rly fast or rly slow pokemon so I wanted to try gain more experience with both groups.
As such I made a hard tr and a tailwind team, with mostly rly fast or rly slow pokemon.
Fast team - https://pokepast.es/61e041dbf59584f0
Slow team - https://pokepast.es/2bdedea1946250a3
Let me make it clear that I have no plans on switching permanently from balance, given how much I love the archetype and that these are more fun teams, made kinda quickly with an emphasis on teaching myself more variety in teambuilding that being necessarily top of the class.
I also absolutely despise weather so I tried my best to not use weather at all on either team, let me know your thoughts and if there is anything I can improve
im entering a tournament tmrw and i’m not entirely confident if this team is good
