Pokémon VGC Team Building Help & Strategy Tips

This is a team i built myself. Please let me know if i should adjust anything or replace anything. The team might be bad cause im new… im also aware the stat spreads are not good, i didnt pay much attention to it and it kind of confuses me.
Also, i later changed Corv’s stat from max atk to max def, and dragonite’s max sp atk to max atk.

Pokémon VGC Team Building: Blastoise & Delphox Strategy

I’m currently running around MB 1.6-1.7 with a pretty standard Blastoise and Delphox Team, I felt like Kingambit was on the field almost never so I switched it for scarf meowscarada, to better answer some Threats to the Team. (Scarf) Basculegion and Garchomp especially but it also helps against Rainteams with tech against Blastoise and to a lesser extent to Oberwhelm some Giraffes before they can Set Up trickrooms. However the original team was in High Champion for a reason and I’m a bit cautious, if I overcooked simply because I don’t understand how to play around the threats and/or don’t know how to use Kingambit yet. Any input is highly appreciated.

Optimizing Sand-Trick Room Teams | Pokémon VGC Strategy

I have been going relatively aimless for a hybrid sand-trick room team, and I definitely need a sense of direction. I have since replaced Dragon Dance on Tyranitar and considered replacing Primarina with Milotic. I just feel like the team doesn’t feel complete, plus I feel like I’m playing horribly. Any and all advice is appreciated and welcome!

Mastering VGC: Fast vs. Slow Team Building Strategies

I have started to realise that I am kinda overly reliant on middling speed pokemon and don't rly use that many rly fast or rly slow pokemon so I wanted to try gain more experience with both groups.

As such I made a hard tr and a tailwind team, with mostly rly fast or rly slow pokemon.

Fast team - https://pokepast.es/61e041dbf59584f0

Slow team - https://pokepast.es/2bdedea1946250a3

Let me make it clear that I have no plans on switching permanently from balance, given how much I love the archetype and that these are more fun teams, made kinda quickly with an emphasis on teaching myself more variety in teambuilding that being necessarily top of the class.

I also absolutely despise weather so I tried my best to not use weather at all on either team, let me know your thoughts and if there is anything I can improve

Destiny Bond Froslass VGC Strategy | Pokémon Champions

I need help building this even if its kinda random (even the EVs), but I’m thinking of using aurora veil Aurorus over grimmsnarl. I’m mainly thinking of focusing the core on destiny bond froslass, rotom frost, and ceruledge, while the others are kinda dispensable just like the camerupt, which is there mainly for countering HTR.

Mastering VGC: How to Counter Mega Swampert & Rain Teams

Hi all, I got to Masterball with the first team but I feel like it’s lacking something. Now i am getting my teeth kicked in by Mega Swampert Venusaur and Trickroom teams. I got the game on the weekend so my Box I lacking a lot. I am thinking about Archaloudon Rain with a Sneasler mode but i don’t know if I want to commit the VP yet, that’s why the Mons in Team 2 still have some whacky moves. Is there anything better than those to build with my Current Box,? And what would be some mons I have to keep my eyes open for?
Any Advice is greatly appreciated

Best Mega Evolution for Rain Teams | Pokémon VGC Strategy

I have built this team with Milotic in mind. However while I was contemplating this team I could not think of which Mega would fit best or that I just wanted to use.

  • Froslass jumped out at first with the Aurora Veil set up and to combat other weather options, however I already have Peli rain so I can mitigate the fire threat to Gholdengo. I also have Grimmsnarl to set up a screen and I’m not sure I need more and I don’t want to be fighting my own weather so I’m not sure this is the correct choice.

  • Tyranitar was another option I considered. He shuts down the fire lizard, he is one of my all time favorite megas. But I have used him every season and so I ended up not locking him in. Tho perhaps I should just use this.

  • Charizard was the last of the weather options I have, quickly tossed the idea because that just enables higher damage against my own Gholdengo.

I have some of the other mega options available and I’m willing to try them out, I just don’t know who to take out or what Mega fits into this team. I appreciate any other thoughts and help.

Mega Feraligatr VGC Team Building Guide | Pokémon Champions

So with the start of the new season, I decided I wanna build something fun to climb to masterball with, and landed on Mega Feraligatr. I think this thing can be FEROCIOUS if you can build around it correctly. So far I’ve implemented Whimsicott to enable it with tailwind and tickle, and then after that my brain immediately went to sneasler, as it can eliminate anything that feraligatr can’t just double edge into oblivion (steels and fairies).

Any ideas on what could work on this team would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and goodluck to everyone in the new season 🔥

VGC Open Teamsheet Strategy: Building Your Competitive Team

I got to Masterball last Season so I wanted to see how well I'd do in open teamsheet. I like the Idea with glimmora, whimsy, milotic and sinistcha but I am a bit unsure with swampy and incen. What I want to do with these two slots: second mega, physical attacker, fake out, anti-garchomp. Maybe something against rain and which not loses to trickroom on the spot. Happy for any suggestions,
Ps: The Milotic is trained to OHKO not very bulky Garchomps with Ice Beam

Mega Chandelure Hyperoffense Team Guide | VGC Strategy

https://pokepast.es/2db6999c0252f439

With the addition of Light Clay and Grimmsnarl, Mega Chandelure's Infiltrator ability might finally be able to shine, so I'm continuing to try and make this gorgeous mon happen

In this first iteration of the season I'm going for hyperoffense with Metagross as a strong secondary mega that also can handle screens if needed

The cat duo is there for fake out support and strong coverage - Ice comes in handy against Garchomps and Staraptors, Knock Off against Sinistchas, Gholdengos and Annihilapes etc, while Sneasler deal with Archaludon, Grimmsnarl and the fairies.

Sinistcha is a great glue to any team.

Now my doubts:
I'm back and forth with the final slot. Dragonite as a tailwind setter always sounds cool to me, and I put Life Orb on him because Life Orb Extreme Speed sounds fun - but didn't test it yet or anything lol

I first had Light Clay Sableye there instead to set up my own screens and provide will-o-wisp/quash/encore support and typing this now it still sounds like better option than Dnite, but I do feel like I should have a Tailwind user.

Whimsicott is another amazing option, giving me not only Tailwind and several support options but also fairy type coverage, which this team is lacking and is probably more valuable than the dragon type coverage Dnite is providing. With Weavile there, not sure I really need any of that though.

Than there's Aerodactyl, that gives me STAB Rock Slide, very needed flying type coverage, Tailwind and Wide Guard.

And here's come the main issue: Aero and Whimsy sounds amazing, but both really need Focus Sash, that Weavile can't really go without.

Dnite have its natural Sash with Multiscale, but he's weak against common leads like Whimsicott, Grimmsnarl and any Encore users.

If anyone has suggestions on what to do with this final slot (I'm open to replacing Weavile if it comes to that too), let me know please
