Hi! I'm not new to VGC, but I don't have any connections to anyone in the community. I haven't been able to bounce ideas off of anyone for my Baltimore regionals team, so I was hoping for any advice as to how to improve the concept.
Here's the pasted team so far: (https://pokepast.es/5090b50f1dfb90f4) (I've tried other versions but this one is the most used for me)
Here's the breakdown
The team is based around Charizard Y/ Toxapex. They cover for each other really well, and with support from the other mons on the team I'm able to create a solid game plan for mostly anything I come across.
Sylveon+ Whimsicott is an alternate lead that I use for Archaludon rain teams and other archetypes where Charizard/Whims and Charizard/Tox look harder to use. With lots of fast/powerful spread damage I can soften up the field for Charizard and friends to clean up and win the weather war.
Garchomp adds another layer to the team as well. It's really bulky (my specific spread lets it survive an opposing max attack Life Orb Garchomp Dragon Claw) and helps my matchup into mega Delphox, Tyranitar/sand and Mega Raichu Y, all of which Toxapex really struggles against. Against such teams I often lead Garchomp/whimsicott to set tailwind and compensate for my garchomp's lower speed, and once I eliminate the main threat I get Charizard in and finish the game.
I've made it as high as top 2,000 in Master Ball, but I'm currently around 15,000-ish
Even though this team works okay, I feel like it's still not in its final form. I wanna be as prepared as I can be for Baltimore, and I realize it's starting to become unproductive just bouncing ideas around in my head without any outside feedback. Sylveon and Whimsicott don't work all the time, so I've considered swapping Sylveon for floette. I've also played around with adding Venusaur as either an alternate mega or a fast coverage sweeper in the sun, but none of these ideas are fully fleshed out.
Pls help if you can, ty for reading:)
