Reply

I like volt switch on my rotoms but this team doesn't have a whole lot of speed control so I'd prob go electroweb

Reply

How has your matchup into basculegion felt?

Reply

I only played this team 3 times and havent faced a basculegion yet

Reply

but I think rotom can be pretty good into basculegion

Reply

or maybe typhlosion since it outspeeds

Reply

mega frosslass also outspeeds a choice scarf basculegion

Reply

Even adamant scarf basc outruns timid lass

Reply

I'm running a similar team and my main counterplay has been gambit but since you have sneasler instead I figured I'd ask how it felt

Reply

ill prob play a couple more games today and let u know

Reply

btw whats ur team

Reply

channel

Reply

Sounds good I've been laddering exclusively mega lass since release so I'm curious what other variants of it have felt like for people

Reply

i played delphx and floette before so im kinda new to frosslass

Reply

i added sneasler cause I was trying to help cover the teams weakness to fighting types

Reply

and also its good into floette

Reply

btw how does thunderbolt do against bascuelgion?

Reply

Modest is 62% to OHKO most basc

Reply

If they invest in bulk your odds get worse or stop KOing altogether

Reply

Which fighting types specifically are you trying to cover for because you have two ghosts and a prim?

Reply

idk why i typed fighting i meant rock lmao

Reply

also sneasler has fakeout

Reply

which can help set up aurora veild easier if needed

Reply

been haveing success with this team

Mega Frosslass Team Improvement Advice

Reply

playing around basculegion is kinda weird

Reply

but doable if I pivot switches right

Reply

but I dont think its worth increasing my weakness to fire in order to have kingambit

Reply

I mean you don't really seem too fire weak with rotom chomp prim on the team

Reply

But ya I agree Y is probably not a super fun matchup for this team

Reply

i would prob switch out water rotom to have king gambit

Reply

i mean I could switch out typhlosion but i really like hte playstyle of typhlosion

Reply

and also being able to lead double ghost is usuefull when trying to get rid of trick room setters or tailwind

Reply

Yeah I don't think you need Gambit here

Reply

Just a plan for basc

Reply

It's on like a quarter of teams and threatens an ohko on 4 members of your team

Reply

Oh nvm crash doesn't blow up chomp unless rain is up

Reply

Ok I ran the calc and typhlosion can't really ever ohko basc if you're timid but modest actually still gets the jump and makes shadow ball a coin flip to KO 2hp0def

Reply

i was thinking of running grass rotom to kill basc but that bascially makes rotom weak to a bunch of other stuff

Reply

lowk might rund kingambit if basc becomes a problem

Reply

so far ive been able to deal with it

Reply

I don't think you need a pokemon change tbh the team is solid into the rest of the field

Reply

Grass rotom is especially dicey if you run into a team playing both zard Y and basc

Reply

ya true

Reply

Which is way more common than you'd think

Reply

Just a gameplan change should be fine tbh

Reply

Like leading chomp and baiting a flip turn to trigger rough skin and get the necessary chip for typhlosion to pick it up in an endgame

Reply

btw u said that a modest Typhlosion either puts basc on 2hp or kills right

Reply

Yeah you lose the jump on timid scarf rotoms but otherwise your typh just hits 10% harder

Reply

alr prob gonna run that

Reply

I would like to suggest flamethrower over infernal parade just to have a single target fire move on typh

Reply

Since infernal parade doesn't actually deal much damage and typh doesn't have enough free turns on the field usually to fish for burns

Reply

i was using infernal parade cause I can paralyze a rlly strong pokemon and typh can clean it up

Reply

if needed

Reply

but ill also try flamethrower

Reply

cause i barely do that anuwasy

Reply

That idea works but it mostly works just because your typh is moving first

Reply

Why use infernal parade's 130bp when you can just click a max power eruption at that point

Reply

ya true its kinda situational

Reply

I also like flamethrower so that you're less likely to get own zoned by wide guard

Reply

Because otherwise you can't deal fire damage with wide guard on the field

Reply

ya true prob gonna add flamethrower

Reply

I was also gonna add sash on garchomp since im not using sash on anything else anyways

Reply

Yeah high key playing around potential sash chomp endgames is tough and most people won't actually be expecting it

Reply

Plus dropping haban berry lets you drop any bulk you might've had and go for more damage

Reply

Bro wide guard an you are cooked
